【摘要】:ThispartofISO8130specifiesamethodforthecalculationofthelowerexplosionlimitofacoatingpowder,i.e.theminimumconcentrationofthecoatingpowderinairwhichwillformanexplosivemixture.Itisbasedontheknowledgeofthegrosscalorificvalueoftheproduct,asdeterminedbythemethoddescribedinISO1928,oronthegrosscalorificvaluesoftheconstituentsoftheproduct.Reliablemethodsforthemeasurementofthisquantityrequiretheuseofspecialapparatuswhichmaynotbereadilyavailable,AmethodfordeterminingtheexplosionindicesofcombustibledustsinairisgiveninISO6184-1.Thismethodis,however,veryintricate,requiresconsiderableexpertiseandisexpensive.Thecalculationmethodleadstolowerexplosionlimitswhichhavebeenprovedinpracticetobesatisfactorywhenappliedtocoatingapplicationplants.NOTE1Withpowdersthatarenotflammable,suchasthoseofthepoly(vinylchloride)type,themethodmayneverthelessgiveavalueforthelowerexplosionlimitinair.Thus,anyunderestimationofanexplosionriskiseffectivelyavoided.NOTE2ThecalculationusedinthisInternationalStandardisbasedonthefollowingassumptions:a)thatmaterialexistsintheformofamoleculardispersion;b)thatthereiscompletecombustionofthemeterialtothehighestoxidationlevel;c)thatthereisanadiabatictypeofreaction;d)thattheflametemperatureforthecompositionwithwhichtheminimumconcentrationforexplosioninairisattainedis1000°C.
