【摘要】:Thistestmethodisdesignedtoproducetensilepropertydataformaterialspecifications,researchanddevelopment,qualityassurance,andstructuraldesignandanalysis.Factorsthatinfluencethetensileresponseandshouldthereforebereportedincludethefollowing:material,methodsofmaterialpreparationandlay-up,specimenstackingsequence,specimenpreparation,specimenconditioning,environmentoftesting,specimenalignmentandgripping,speedoftesting,timeattemperature,voidcontent,andvolumepercentreinforcement.Properties,inthetestdirection,whichmaybeobtainedfromthistestmethodincludethefollowing:Ultimatetensilestrength,Ultimatetensilestrain,Tensilechordmodulusofelasticity,Poisson''sratio,andTransitionstrain.1.1Thistestmethoddeterminesthein-planetensilepropertiesofpolymermatrixcompositematerialsreinforcedbyhigh-modulusfibers.Thecompositematerialformsarelimitedtocontinuousfiberordiscontinuousfiber-reinforcedcompositesinwhichthelaminateisbalancedandsymmetricwithrespecttothetestdirection.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theinch-poundunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
