【摘要】:ThispartofIEC61290appliestoallcommerciallyavailableopticalamplifiers(OAs),includingOAsusingopticallypumpedfibres(OFAsbasedoneitherrare-earthdopedfibresorontheRamaneffect),semiconductoropticalamplifiers(SOAs)andplanarwaveguideopticalamplifiers(PWOAs).Theobjectofthisstandardistoestablishuniformrequirementsforaccurateandreliablemeasurements,bymeansoftheelectricalspectrumanalyzer(ESA)method,ofthenoisefigure,asdefinedinIEC61291-1.Thepresenttestmethodisbasedondirectelectricalnoisemeasurementanditisdirectlyrelatedtoitsdefinitionincludingallrelevantnoisecontributions.Therefore,thismethodcanbeusedforalltypesofopticalamplifiers,includingSOAandRamanamplifierswhichcanhavesignificantcontributionsbesidesamplifiedspontaneousemission,becauseitmeasuresthetotalnoisefigure.Forfurtherdetailsofapplicability,seeIEC61290-3.Analternativetestmethodbasedontheopticalspectrumanalyzercanbeused,particularlyfordifferentnoiseparameters(suchasthesignal-spontaneousnoisefactor)butitisnotincludedintheobjectofthisstandard.NOTE1Allnumericalvaluesfollowedby(:1:)aresuggestedvaluesforwhichthemeasurementisassured.Othervaluesmaybeacceptablebutshouldbeverified.NOTE2Ameasurementaccuracyfortheaveragenoisefactorof_+20%(:1:),respectively+1dB,shouldbeattainablewiththismethod(seeClause6).NOTE3GeneralaspectsofnoisefiguretestmethodsarereportedinIEC61290-3.
